Ah, yes! My Dad's autumn poem:
When the golden rod is yellow And the corn is turning brown, The trees in the apple orchard With fruit are bending down, I love to chomp green apples and go swimming in the lake. I hate to take that castor oil they give for belly ache!
Added to these 2, we have the purple asters and bog cotton and a little periwinkle flower that I must look up. Also the alders are in bloom, white, which don't last too long in the vase. The dog roses are still blooming here, they are so luscious. XO WWW
