Fall flowers

This time of year the principal flowers around here are goldenrod and asters...

Ah, yes! My Dad's autumn poem:

When the golden rod is yellow
And the corn is turning brown,
The trees in the apple orchard
With fruit are bending down,
I love to chomp green apples
and go swimming in the lake.
I hate to take that castor oil
they give for belly ache!

Hugs!

Added to these 2, we have the purple asters and bog cotton and a little periwinkle flower that I must look up. Also the alders are in bloom, white, which don't last too long in the vase.
The dog roses are still blooming here, they are so luscious.
