The outhouse

The outhouse is as good as done, for this year. It needs to be painted inside, but I think I will leave that for now, I am just tired of it. Seems like the finish work is interminable, every time I think I am done there is one more thing that needs to be done to be really done, so to speak.

Well done!
is it one way glass or are you going to charge like a peep-show (or a toll to pay for it)?
I'd enjoy the smell of the new wood for a while.

Wow, nice job, I love the window!

I usually leave the doors open anyways when I use the outdoor privy.

Alright Annie....

It's a winner! I would say as outhouses go, this one is quite classy....and glassy.

There is no doubt in my mind that were there a "National Outhouse Awards" show you would be a top nominee! :)

A beauty! (and so is the new photo at the top of your page here)

Question; will there be a crescent moon cut into the door?

Gee, thanks for the compliments!

WWW, it's completely see-thru, but so far back in the woods not a lot of peepers passing by! And a whole lot more private than what I have previously been using (it has a door, and a latch!). I just tore down the old structure and filled in the hole, so the new outhouse is officially in use...

Hey Josh, nice to here from you! Been following your blog religiously but can't comment there, no matter how I try. Have absolutely loved your blog this summer! (and so has Uncle Tim;) Yeah, most privies feel a little claustrophobic with the door closed, but I can assure you this one doesn't. Not just the window but the large floor space in front of you...

Gee thanks Alan! But I do have to give credit to a number of folks who contributed to the design: Carolyn, Carolyn's Dad Neil, Peter, Mike, Fritz, ...kind of a multi-holer affair ;)

Thanks Steven, but unfortunately no. The inside of the door has a Z-shaped reinforcement that would be difficult to cut through so I am not going to. Maybe I could paint one on...

Well done!!!!!!! Applause!! I vote you paint the crescent moon on as that's more easily done that cutting.

Any chance of needing an interior curtain?

Hugs!
